IMPORTANT: The Executor/Fiduciary of the estate will be required to bring legal documentation showing their role in the Estate/Trust. Only the Executor/Fiduciary is authorized to bring the firearm(s) in for transfer, and the firearm(s) will be transferred to ONLY the individual(s) designated by the Executor/Fiduciary. Refer to your attorneys to change receiving individuals, authorize gifts to others on receivers’ behalf, etc. If the Executor/Fiduciary is not able to bring the firearm(s) in personally, a Power of Attorney must be presented for the individual bringing the firearm(s) in on their behalf. For any questions regarding this, or for any specific scenarios, we can refer an attorney fluent in both Family Estate Law and Firearms Law to advise you.
